Homepage sections should follow the visitor’s questions, not the company’s internal organisation. The order matters because every section earns attention for the next one.
Recognition comes first
The opening should let the right visitor recognise the offer, the audience and the value quickly. A memorable visual can help, but it should not hide the meaning of the page.
A dependable sequence
- What this business helps with
- Evidence that it has done credible work
- The main services or routes available
- How working together happens
- A clear and low-friction next step
Move detail to the page that owns it
The homepage does not need every industry, service explanation, team story and frequently asked question. Give each subject a concise introduction, then link to the page where someone can explore it properly.
Edit by removing repetition
Read only the headings from top to bottom. If two sections make the same promise, combine them. If a section does not introduce new information or reduce uncertainty, remove it.
